In May 2012, Garena announced in May 2012 the Garena Premier League (GPL) that is a 6-month online professional gaming league that has over 100 games that will be held. The inaugural season of the GPL was an on-line League of Legends tournament with six teams of professional players. The teams are made up of the top players in their respective nations. GPL games are recorded, and broadcast live on-line with commentary. The games are available for viewing on the GPL's official site. Garena Premier League 2013 includes two new teams from Taiwan and Vietnam adding the number of teams to 8. AHQ, Saigon Fantastic Five, Bangkok Titans, Kuala Lumpur Hunters, Manila Eagles, Taipei Assassins, and Singapore Sentinels are the teams. Garena's ESports Stadium that is dedicated to esports in the Neihu District Taipei, opened its doors on the 14th of November, 2014. The facility was built to house games from the League of Legends Masters Series, the world's top LoL Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau league. The tournament was a spinoff of GPL. Garena began with the Iron Solari League - a League of Legends competition for women living in the Philippines at the beginning of January 2015. It's a monthly tournament which is played in the second part of every month. The event is designed to encourage the participation of under-represented groups and is accessible to anyone who identifies as an under-represented group. Garena hosts offline events for members who wish to connect and meet. Garena also organizes the Garena carnival that occurs annually in Singapore and Malaysia. Gerina Gerina Gerina
